The Death Scare!
Part 1.
     25 minutes earlier...
'The bus will be leaving in few minutes, let's settle down, please.' A student said from the back of the school bus.
I was with my friends in the bus and everyone was smiling and laughing. We were discussing about our experiences in the clinical postings. Everyone was just so happy to start the new week and I as well shared this energyyy.
At the moment...
'Time of death....' The doctor attending to the patient said as he checked the time and recorded it.
Everyone was calm and quiet. It was my first time witnessing such and I was really surprised and shocked. It happened slowly, the little girl was not responding. Then it just happened at once! And we gathered to watch the nurses perform the last office.
'Nurse Olufayo please get the corpse book over there' The nurse on duty called out to me. I was deep in my own thoughts as I watched the little girl I held her hands to check her vitals few minutes ago. Tears couldn't drop because we had so much to do. Everyone was too busy to pay attention to the emotional stuffs.
I took time to analyze what can be done differently as many are also victims of these circumstances. Let's review what can be done to avoid circumstances like this. You might want to stay tuned for Part 2 on Wednesday. We will examine what happened and how it can be well managed.
Take care of yourself this week!
