TWO SIDES OF A COIN 

Yesterday;

I woke to the sunny set,

Oh, I am late, again!

I had in my upper mind, close to my hemispheres,

"Write down the life you want to see and you will begin to live it".

Starting with each cell in my body

I sent a quick message to my tissues and organs,

"Holla, Let's make today count".

I paused and took a deep breath.

Just then, I remembered.

I failed YESTERDAY.

If I failed at my best yesterday, what's it I have to write today?

Maybe we should just skip today and start over tomorrow.

Or, should I make an exact plan of how tomorrow should be like?

In anticipation of my success, Let me plan it.

To Do List For Tomorrow:

1. Do not Fail.

2. Do not Fail.

3. Do not Fail.

4. Do not Fail.

But then I realized there was a little negativity in my tone...

5. You must Win and succeed at all you do.

Then, I felt I've gotten the right words.

Oh, Tomorrow. A soon to be Today.

Today;

I sat and I was keen on winning.

    I guess success and failure were just two sides of a coin. The fact that we strive to either succeed or strive to avoid failure. Thinking back at past faliure, I understand now that the most painful failure is that which is closer to success by one point. Ever been in second place because of a 0.1 mark you losed to the first position? Now, that hurts more than being far far behind. Why? You prepared so hard for success but got close to success, not success. 

    The purpose of our aspirations are all based on bringing forth something tangible at the end of the call. Whatever be it we've taken into our hands, we put in deliberate efforts to make it work out. We strive to put them in place and do all we can to bring to reality the life we once had in our thoughts. We search far and wide, how we can be one step ahead, so we can get an extra and outstanding success.

      Mohammed Ali said "You're not going to enjoy every minute of the journey, but the success you'll find at the end will make it all worth it". Then I realized that the success at the end was what mattered even with all the toils. Yes, you came this far, but how well? Signs. Maybe success isn't easy after all, but it's possible.

This is not a mindset to not Fail, but a mindset to Succeed.

Do it today, not Tomorrow.

Oh, Tomorrow, a really great tomorrow.

Tomorrow;

I got a beep from my phone after I sent in the mail of 'Today' to a company I was applying to for a post of an editor.

Wow, what did I say the definition of success was again?

Not just the 'I won't fail' but 'I will succeed'.

Oh yeah! I went the extra success.

Oh, maybe you should try to...

Work hard.

Never give up.

Dream big.

Succeed.

Get an extra success.
