Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; The Ankara Economist.

     Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was born on the 13th June, 1954, I will leave you with the arithmetics of her age. She hails from Delta State, Nigeria. She's the daughter of an Obi (King) and she had her basic education at Queen's School, Enugu, St. Anne's School, Molete, Ibadan and the reputable International School Ibadan (ISI). She had her bachelor's degree in Economics at Harvard University and her master's degree in City Planning and PhD in Regional Economics and Development at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A Nigerian economist who has been serving as the Director-General of the World Trade organization since March 2021 has brought a significant impact to the world. She is the first woman and first African to lead the World Trade organization as Director-General. She sits on the board of so many economical Institutes and organizations. 

     She served twice as the Nigerian's Finance Minister (2003-2006 and 2011-2015). The increase in the government's transparency during her regime as the Finance Minister was superb. She is a recipient of numerous awards. African woman of the Year 2020, Global Leadership Award (2011), Top 100 most powerful women in the world (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), 50 greatest World Leaders (Fortune 2015), Top 100 most influential people in the world (TIME, 2014) and many more. 

     Her official Ankara style stands out. A fashion trend 'BeLikeNgozi' took a beautiful turn when young ladies dressed like Okonjo-Iweala. She is one of the many ladies interested in gender equality and women's empowerment. She supports women and provides opportunities that would project and bring to reality her vision of gender balance. She's an influential leader who from an early age had directions and has made a mark in the economical growth of the World and other aspects.
